Ground Crewneck

The collar decides how long it looks new. A rib with no recovery goes slack in three months and there is no fixing it after that, so the elastane in it is there for recovery rather than stretch, the back neck is taped shoulder to shoulder, and both get tested by pulling the collar to 1.8 times its width twenty times and measuring what comes back.
A heavyweight cotton crewneck built to be the one you keep. Most sweatshirts do not wear out. They go slack at the collar, shrink up short, or pill into a dull fuzz. This one is specified against those three and not much else.
Proposed engineering
- Heavy 380 gsm loopback cotton, brushed inside only
- Garment dyed, so it fades with wear instead of arriving pre-faded
- High recovery collar rib with a taped back neck
- Shrinkage specified to a number and tested, not claimed on a label
- Set-in sleeves and plain seams, repairable by any tailor
- Deep ribbed cuffs and hem
- No logo, no print, no hardware
