Built to be
kept working.
Nothing here has been manufactured yet, so this is what we are committing to before the first unit ships, not a description of a service already running.
What we cover.
If something fails because of how it was made, we repair or replace it for one year from delivery, at our cost. That covers seams that open, hardware that breaks, zips that fail, magnets that lose their hold and insulation that migrates through the shell.
It does not cover wear, accidents or the ordinary ageing of cloth. A shirt that fades and softens is doing what it was designed to do.
A manufacturing fault usually shows itself in the first few months of wear, which is why one year is enough to catch it. If something fails at fourteen months and it looks like a fault rather than wear, write to us anyway. We would rather look at it than hide behind a date.
Parts, free, while we hold them.
The Cumulus Jacket ships with its repair patches, because a puncture is the failure that jacket actually has. Everything else is an email away: more patches, snaps and magnet pairs for the Atlas Overshirt, the Mesa Shirt and the Orbit Flight System, cord locks and buckles for the carry line. We send the part and pay the postage.
We hold spares for five years after a product leaves production. When they run out we will say so rather than quietly stop answering.
What any tailor can fix.
The Mesa Shirt, Basin Pant, Envoy Shirt and Quorum Trouser are drawn so an ordinary alterations shop can work on them. Side seams are pressed open with the two edges finished separately, spare cloth is held in the side seams and, on the trousers, the seat and hem. Nothing is bonded that should be sewn. The factory specification treats that allowance as a requirement rather than a preference, and we will print the exact figures on each product page when it ships.
We do not pay for alterations or for repairs to wear. We would rather spend that money on leaving the cloth in the garment in the first place.
What we do not promise.
We are not offering a repair workshop, a lifetime guarantee or free repairs for damage. Plenty of new brands promise those and quietly stop. A guarantee that outlives the company is worth nothing, and we would rather under-promise on a product that does not exist yet.
Some repairs genuinely need us. A down jacket with an open baffle seam or flattened fill is not a tailor job. When Drop 001 ships we will publish what those repairs cost, charged at parts, labour and return postage. Until there is something to repair, quoting a price would be invention.
