FOUNDERS DROP 001 / PREORDER LIST NOW OPEN
PREORDER TERMS / DRAFT

Build with your
eyes open.

FIELD // LAB is in product development. These are concept designs, not products waiting in a warehouse.

Preorders are not open yet.

Payments are not live. Joining the preorder list or a Notify me list is not a purchase, reservation, place in a production queue or promise of delivery, and no payment is taken. Preorders open once the production quote sets a funding goal. Preorder list members get first access by email. Prices are provisional, in USD. Shipping charges and taxes have not been determined.

How Drop 001 preorders are intended to work.

Drop 001 is the set of products one apparel manufacturer can make together: Atlas Overshirt ($195), Axis Pant ($165), Vector Fleece ($145) and Pivot Short ($125). Preorders collect demand for this drop. Once enough preorders come in to reach the funding goal, we place a purchase order with the factory, share production updates and ship.

The funding goal will be set from the production quote, including manufacturing, freight, packaging, payment costs and contingency. The intended model is all-or-nothing. If the goal is not reached by the campaign deadline, every preorder is fully refunded.

The other 11 concepts are in development for future drops. They cannot be preordered. You can ask to be notified when one is ready to preorder.

Shipping estimates, delays and cancellations.

An estimated ship date, the refund method and timing, and our policy for delays and cancellations will be published before payments go live. In the United States, federal mail order rules generally require sellers to ship within the time they state, or to notify buyers of a delay and give them the option to cancel for a prompt refund. We intend to comply with those rules and will describe how in the final terms. This summary is not legal advice.

Decisions required before payments go live.

  • Final prices, available variants and production feasibility.
  • A funding goal backed by the production quote, and a campaign deadline.
  • A defensible estimated ship date and how delays will be communicated.
  • Cancellation rights and the timing and method of refunds.
  • What happens if the goal is met but a product cannot be produced.
  • Shipping regions, taxes, fulfillment, returns and customer support.

These are draft policy topics, not an approved preorder contract. Preorders will not open until the terms and payment process are ready.

Concepts may change.

Images are concept illustrations. Materials, construction, performance, colors and modular interfaces have not been verified. The development process may change them. MARS is an expedition inspired color system, not a claim that these products are suitable for spaceflight or planetary environments.
