Relay Bay

Open it. Aim it. You are online.

THE ONE ENGINEERING DECISION

The whole antenna face sits behind one continuous window with no seam crossing it anywhere. A partial cover puts a transition line across a phased array, which is the one option worse than either covering all of it or none of it.

WHAT IT IS SIZED FOR

Dimensioned around the Starlink Mini antenna at 298.5 by 259 by 38.5 mm and 1.10 kg, with the 110 degree field of view and the 25 to 40 watt average power draw published in its specification sheet. Those figures set the sleeve, the window clearance and the vent.

A deployment bay built around the Starlink Mini. The whole antenna face sits behind one continuous radio-transparent window, edge to edge, with nothing crossing it. Flip out the stand, aim it and plug in power. The window opens on three sides so you can run the terminal fully exposed when you would rather. Set it down to transmit rather than wearing it.

NOT A PREORDER / NO PAYMENT

Proposed engineering
  • Sized for the Starlink Mini, 298.5 by 259 by 38.5 mm
  • Whole antenna face behind one continuous window, edge to edge
  • Window opens on three sides to run the terminal exposed
  • Vented standoff channel carries heat out of the back
  • Orange extraction pull-tab clear of the aperture
  • Radome textile window with no hardware in the RF path
  • Vented standoff keeps the antenna face clear
  • Wide flare keeps the 110 degree view unobstructed
  • Folding U-frame stand with friction hinge
  • Formed bottom cradle carries the weight from below
  • Shallow side retainers stop lateral movement only
  • Rear elastic keeper holds it in while you walk
  • Orange pull-tab is an extraction handle, not retention
  • Cable port to a power bank inside the bag
  • Deploy on the ground to transmit, never while worn

Design targets only. Materials, performance and construction have not been verified and may change.
